Who We Are

PandaExpressNutritionCalculator.org ("we", "this site") is an independent publisher of Panda Express menu, nutrition and location information. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Panda Express or Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. This policy covers this website only, and not any restaurant, app or service it links to.

For any privacy question or request, emailinfo@pandaexpressnutritioncalculator.org.

Information You Give Us

Ratings

When you rate an item, we store the item, the number of stars and the time, in a hosted Supabase database. No name, email or account is involved, and nothing in the rating record identifies you. Your browser separately remembers that you rated that item, so the page can show your own vote back to you.

Comments

A comment stores the text you wrote, the page it belongs to, an optional display name and the time it was posted. The name field is optional and free text: if you type your real name there, it becomes public alongside the comment, so use whatever you are comfortable showing. We do not require or store an email address for comments. Comments are public by design and can be removed on request.

Messages

The contact form does not send anything through this website. It opens your own email app with the message pre-filled, so the message travels from your email provider to ours. We keep correspondence only as long as it takes to deal with it, plus a reasonable record of corrections we have made.

Information Collected Automatically

Hosting and security

The site is served through a content delivery network, which processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested in order to serve the page and protect against abuse. This is ordinary server logging, not a profile of you.

Cloudflare Turnstile

The comment form and the contact form display a Cloudflare Turnstile widget, which checks that a submission is coming from a real browser rather than a script. Turnstile is a privacy-focused alternative to a traditional CAPTCHA and does not track you across sites. It is deliberately non-blocking here: if it fails to load, your comment still posts.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4, which records how pages are found and used — which page you landed on, roughly where in the world the visit came from, the kind of device and browser, and which links were followed. It sets its own cookies to tell a returning visit from a new one. The purpose is to see which guides and tools are worth expanding, not to identify you: no name, email or address is collected here, and nothing typed into the calculator or the meal planner is sent to Google.

If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes an officialbrowser opt-out add-on, and any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics scripts will stop it. The site works exactly the same either way. Google explains what it does with the data inits partner-sites notice.

Advertising and Cookies

This site is intended to be supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Ad units are not live yet, so no advertising cookie is currently set by this site. When ads are switched on, Google and its partners will use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This section is written so you know in advance exactly what will happen.

You can control this directly rather than through us:

More detail on how Google handles data from sites that use its services is inGoogle's own partner-sites notice.

What This Site Stores in Your Browser

The tools keep your work on your own device using localStorage, not on our servers. Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it immediately.

KeyWhat it holds
pref-rated-{item}Remembers that you already rated an item so the page does not ask twice.
pref-c-tsA timestamp used to space out comment submissions from the same browser.
panda-express-mealThe meal you saved in the nutrition calculator.
panda-express-cateringThe catering estimate you saved.
panda-express-meal-planThe week you saved in the meal planner, including any budget you typed.
prep-ing-{recipe} / prep-steps-{recipe}Which recipe ingredients and steps you have ticked off.

None of these are sent to us, none are advertising identifiers, and none survive a browser data reset. A saved meal plan lives on the device you saved it on, which is also why it does not follow you to another phone. Separately from this table, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (names beginning _ga) to count a returning visit as one person rather than two; those are covered in the Analytics section above.

Sharing and Retention

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising of our own. Data is processed by the service providers that make the site work: a hosting and CDN provider, Supabase for ratings and comments, Cloudflare for Turnstile, and Google for analytics now and for advertising once ads are running. Each acts under its own terms and privacy policy.

Ratings and comments stay published until they are removed on request or for breaching the terms. Email correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful. We may also disclose information where the law genuinely requires it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information about you, to object to certain processing, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Because this site holds so little, most requests are simple: we can remove a comment or a rating and confirm what remains.

Email info@pandaexpressnutritioncalculator.orgwith enough detail to find the item, for example the page and the comment text. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has posted something here, tell us and we will remove it.

International visitors

The site is operated for a mainly United States audience and the services behind it may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the site you understand that the limited information described above may be processed in those places.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the effective date at the top changes with it and the new version replaces this one on this page. Material changes will be described in the summary cards rather than buried in a paragraph.

Privacy policy for this Panda Express menu site

Privacy by Not Collecting Much

The simplest privacy protection is having little to protect. There are no accounts on this site, so there are no passwords, no profiles and no email address attached to a rating or a comment. The tools keep your work in your own browser rather than on a server.

What that leaves is a short list: the ratings and comments people choose to publish, standard server logs, and advertising data handled by Google when ads run. Each is named in full above rather than summarised into vagueness.
